Motions to Suppress

Does anyone know whether a Motion moving the court to suppress is a Discovery right? Is it considered a pre-trial motion?

From what I've learned in the course so far, it's a matter of what is trying to be "suppressed". That all comes back to the beginning parts of the course that describe in detail what is needed for what part of each section and how they all tie together.

As the exact answer for your question, I haven't come across it specifically yet, but I'm still in the beginning parts.

As a third party at a home where a federal search warrant was executed, resulting in a state possession charge, was denied on motion to suppress because judge said there was a criminal nexus between myself and the criminal activity referenced in the search warrant application. My name nor my car were listed on this warrant or it’s application. The affiant refers to statements made by “ex girlfriend “ several times throughout the application but nowhere does it say anything that would suggest who this “ex girlfriend” might be. I am wondering why the four corners of a warrant didn’t apply in this situation? I’ve been looking for a similar case but haven’t found one as of yet.
