Judge orders unrelated to motion
07/06/15 12:48 PM

I entered a motion for a more definite statement. The only motion I have entered. At no point in my motion do I request information regarding venue. Judge comes back with an order "Motion for change of venue denied - Venue is proper." This is completely unrelated to my motion. How do I:
1. Get the Judge to explain his motion?
2. Does this give me an opportunity to get the case dismissed on a technical matter? And if so what?
3. Do I enter an motion of response citing no relevance to my original motion?
4. It feels like this is an intentional misdirection.

Thanks,
Duane

This is happening all the time, one reason is they are bias to non-attorneys another is that you might have caused it by writing a long motion and mentioned another subject. They will take their pick of what to answer and leave what you really need answered, unanswered. they know what they are doing. So create motions as one pagers, short and to the point, no wiggle room. If you need more room on the page go up and click on 1.5 spacing instead of 2.0. If you need even more room click on 1.0. Need even more: O.K. go to page set up and type in 0.5 instead of 1.0 as top margin; maybe even 0.25. Click on preview and see how it looks, if it passes muster, go with it. non-attorneys can even write their motions on toilet paper. Judges accept them and have even granted their motions. So do what you need to do, but do it on point, no wiggle room, takes some though. If you cant think sometimes do this: Fast for awhile, skip some meals, you mind will clear. You'd be suprized how well that works.
