Non cash bonus income and child support
01/08/14 12:25 PM

I'm looking for case law to support income to be counted when the income was given in the form of a trip to the tune of $28,000. It was on the W-2 but not broken out as a trip and taxes were paid on the income, the trip was taken and the judge is wanting specific case law support citation. This case is in Arkansas and the law says that the income should be used in the broadest sense, but the judge is asking for a letter or memo to support this instance more specifically. Does anyone know how I can research this for an attorney who is needing it ASAP? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

We need to know more. For example, was the money paid by an employer for an employee to take a business trip? If so, then the actual cost of the trip may not be considered income to the extent such cost was necessary to effect the purposes of the trip.
