Buyer Beware sign
01/31/14 11:17 PM

I am having a very hard time trying to find what laws would protect me if I put up a buyer beware sign.
I bought a new home and the builder has not done what was promised. There are still many houses he must sell but I want to put up a buyer beware sign. Living in North Dakota there are many builders that don't seem to keep their word. Any help on case law or supreme court rulings or help using the right search phrase would be a huge benefit. I have been over the material many times and I am truly stuck Thanks

it sounds like you need real estate laws ... how about contacting the Real Estate Board in your state.

As explained in the course, Joseph, so long as one does not publish a "falsehood" about someone else (and your local ordinance does not forbid signs of any kind) ... well, you know. Do the math, please, but first ask yourself, "How is this going to help ME?" Perhaps a better course of action would be to go to the builder with your idea of the sign, asking if you are spelling his name correctly. Get it? Do you want revenge or remedy?

Revenge is a bitter pill.
Remedy is much sweeter!
