I went to court to appear for trial and there was no trial. The clerks said that the prosecutor had dropped the ball and forgot to mail a reconveyance notice.(I thought the court was supposed to approve reconveyance and notice the defendant). I went home and they mailed me the rescheduled date that exact same day. Under USC title 18, Ch. 208 Sect 3162, there are sanctions for this. It is a state court, but Federal law is supposed to reign supreme right? Can I use this statute against them because they basically forfeited the trial? Is there any other recourse or something else I could use to file a motion to dismiss? Thank you
