Georgia is one of four states notorious for failing to disclose forfeited properties and cash in direct opposition to OCGA. The code states that the details re: forfeiture actions over $25,000 must be published within one year of seizure of property and/or cash, in this case, over $50,000 in value. If the DA fails to publish the legal notice timely re: this forfeiture, what legal recourse might be taken to redeem said property and cash?
